i am 51 years old and have been through this with my own daughter. talk to your mother, tellher you may have a need for birthcontrol in the future..but also be very calm and unemotional. the facts only ...tell her you will ALWAYS have your boyfriend use a condom..AND MEAN IT......NO CONDOM NO SEX....

be very grown up when talking about this, and remember, for the PILL to work you need to be on it a FULL month for safety sake.

to take on a sexual relationship means to be responsible.....for yourself and others you are with. BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE....SEX IS NOT A GAME OR TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY....RESPECT YOURSELF, AND MAKE SURE YOU CHOSE YOUR PARTNERS CAREFULLY......ONCE YOU GET A PARTY GIRL REPUTATION....IT WILL FOLLOW YOU TO YOUR GRAVE.....

be careful ---be safe----be selective---be smart-----be responsible------

PS---my daughter was on the PILL at 16 and did not have a sexual relationship untill she was 17....don't rush growing up.

and if your mother says NO, she could be right, you may not be responsible enough to take on this step..

REMEMBER----SEX CAN KILL YOU IN THIS DAY AND AGE.....IT IS A TERRIBLE DEATH TO GO THROUGH CARRYING AIDS I AM IN THE NURSING FIELD AND HAVE SEEN MANY DIE FROM IT FROM THE VERY YOUNG TO THE OVER 70......NO AGE IS SAFE......

I think your mum would appreciate it if you told her the truth. The fact that she told you to ask her if you need to sounds like she is very caring and understanding. Tell her that you aren't having sex yet, but you might do in the near future and you would like to start on the pill. I'm sure she will be pleased that you are thinking responsibly. Good luck!

well, I'm a little confused.

you only fool around, but you want the pill? In CASE you do more?

the pill might be a little excessive than, if you aren't even active.

just keep a couple condoms handy, in case.

Say that you get really bad pain from your periods, the pill can fix that.! Also, if you have acne, forms of the pill can be used to treat that too

Just tell her the truth. It will show her that you want to be responsible.

Just sit down and tell her the truth.

You'd better just tell her what you're doing or that you need it so you don't make her a grandmother before she wants to be one. Please ask her now.
