al-Qaida-inspired militants???? This downplays the groups power and makes light of the threat that they pose.

They can call them whatever they want. We as the American public don't have to follow them like sheep.

I don't believe the media is downplaying anything. The radical Islamic factions get news coverage that covers several hours everyday. In fact they get more coverage than the corrupt chimp we have as our president. Of course the radical Islamists are dangerous and they do not belong in the news. They need to be shot as do ALL the Iraqi and Afghans even those who are mothers and children - because all they produce is more Muslims and some will always become radical.

This is the problem ,look at the events of last week ,so called intelligent people have been radicalised by militant Islam ,we have to understand the causes in order to erradicate the effect. These people last week were not immigrants they were here for no other purpose other than murder, lets do a deal with the Saudis for example let the saudis try them as murderers and execute justice according to Shariya laws ,no paradise no martyrdom. They also broke one of the oldest laws in Islam we offered them shelter and they broke Mohammad s laws by perpetrating these acts.

I believe this terminology is being adopted because the "war on terror" is being perceived as a "war on Islam" which is creating more terrorism of different factions of Islam. I see it as an intelligent move. There is more than one group of terrorists. They are not all Al Qaida. I don't think it is downplaying anything but is an indication that terrorism is splintering into other groups.

They always soften it up. Here in Arizona I was reading an article in the local fishwrap where they were interviewing a guy against the shamnesty. He clearly was quoted as saying illegal alien but the author / editor bracketed it out and put {undocumented immigrant}. Now I've always believed the additions like that are to add clarity / context that isn't evident in the spoken quote. I doubt anyone reading it would have been unclear what the guy meant if they directly quoted illegal alien. It's BS.

That's a possibility worth considering, but in many cases I'd say no. Apparently, Al-Qaida has encouraged other cells to be formed that aren't directly connected to Osama himself, and is using the internet for this purpose. For the occasional start-up cell, the euphamism would be appropriate, but for those installed in Europe, or any who have direct ties to Al-Qaida, it wouldn't.

You are Correct, in your assertion, appeasement is what the Liberals believe in and the Media agrees. My Position is that
Islam is not a Religion, but a Political movement, wrapped in
a religion, to give them a cloak which allows them to spread.

News media spends countless amounts of hours each day on the Middle East and radical Islamic factions. They are the enemy, not other Americans, wake up!

Why do people usurp meanings and real definitions? Do you no anything about Islam or being a muslim? Do you really know? Or you are one of those "breast-fed guys" that depend on "far from being liberal media"...

Terrorist/Militant and muslim two different things...
Cowboy that killed millions of indians and a christian two different things...
Israeli soldiers/politicians and holocaust jews two different things...
United States today and freedom of speech and action completely different things...the list may go on...

And remember...there is no such a thing as a truthful media...media always serves particular interests of particular groups...

Correct, lets not offend them , they might attack our Country.
Correct lets not offend them, the World,s opinion of us might diminish our worth. Call them what they are, that way our people will wake up , instead of sleeping. Unless they are waiting for another 9/11.
