I was fortunate enough to not be scheduled to work today, unlike all the other holidays I have to work. As I hang out at my home, cleaning and painting on this rainy day, I think about how lucky I am to be free to respond to this question. No, I am not the happiest person on earth, but I do appreciate the freedom I have thanks to my ancestors right up to those who are defending our country today so that I have what I have. Happy 4th to you and everyone. Celebrate our freedom. There are still those out there who don't have it.

Today I'm gonna dress up my baby girl in stars & stripes and wander around down town Rome (Italy). It's her first and since she is half American I need to do something to make it special for her!

We go to a neighbor's house, have a BBQ, swim and play games. Then we watch the fireworks.
