Where can I go to upgrade to internet explorer 7. I went on one website where it says I can download it but it gave me a bunch of links with just the info. I want the link to the actual download page.

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com this will have IE 7 in the Critical/Security updates.
BTW, Why? Firefox 2.0 is much safer and more advanced than IE 7. Not as many bugs or security holes. But its your choice.

I was the same way, but ultimately decided to upgrade to IE7 for some of the new features, including the tabbed interface. I got used to it after a while. Another option is to keep IE6 and install Firefox for the tabbed interface and some of it's other useful features just so you have an alternate browser to IE. At some point you will probably be forced by MS to upgrade but no reason to surrender pre-maturely if you don't want to. ;-) p.s. I know there are skins for Firefox, I'm not sure about IE7. Sounds like you would be ok with upgrading to IE7 if you could retain the simpler / cleaner look of IE6.

Go to www.microsoft.com and then go to the Downloads and updates section. Run all the updates it suggests you should run. You may need to restart the pc during updates.
This provides you with the most stable, secure operating system AND it also provides you with IE vers. 7.
You should also have your system set for auto updates.

On IE 6 go to Windows Update in the Tools dropdown. This will take you to MS website and it will scan your website for the updates. Something like http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

IE7 is really a great internet explorer.I think the best place to download it is "www.filehippo.com", it's fast and troubleless. If you r not a ligal or original windows user, u will need a registry patch to install IE7. U can find it from net or ask me by mail at "akib_ahmed".Good LUCK.
