No. I used to ponder the idea of believing in god although I've always been an athiest; but a recent tragic event that has happened in my family has made me lose all hope. If there were a god, bad things wouldn't happen to good people. There's no excuse for what happened in my family...friend's that are christians tell me 'it's god's way' 'it happened for a reason'....well that makes me sick honestly. :-\

Assuming you are referring to the literal sense of someone "watching over us" and constantly listening to people's prayers, my answer is no. I tend to take a more scientific view on our presence and the continuation of such presence on our planet.
