I am watching ESPN2 in the states and there is a rain break right now. But Maria and Venus have been playing and they are not showing the match, not giving updated scores/highlights, not even mentioning the match in the last hour of broadcasting. Anyone know why? Is it blacked out? Scheduled for primetime broadcast on tape delay? Do they not know it is on? Is there another US station airing it? What the heck is up? Thanks!

I am not really sure but I don't think that it is going to be ignored. I think ESPN2 will play the match a little later. Wimbledon is so badly back logged that it has probably thrown everone elses schedule off. However, I am happy that Venus is up a set already. I hope she wins Wimbledon this year because she is the best and Maria Sharapova is a great player for her to have to prove herself agains't in this round heading into the quarters. ☻

NBC did air it. Yesterday matches were confusing as far as the channels. I didn't change the channel while watching venus/sharapova match. But at one point, I believe three channels were showing the Serena match and one channel was ahead of the other channel, lol. I started watching it on NBC and made the mistake of going through the channels and saw it on another channel but the match was almost over. lol...Unlike what they were showing on NBC.

It was probably going to be shown on NBC so ESPN 2 did not want to show it and ruin it for them. Money is probably a big factor in why it wasn't shown.

It is going to air on NBC....it is one of those fake ''live'' programming that makes ESPN a joke when covering major events.
