Yes there is a success story and you already know the answers both diet and exercise wise. Just do it. Remember that pain is only weakness leaving the body.
Or you can be like me and wait until you have your first minor heart problem. That is a big motivator that you don't want to deal with. I quit smoking, lost 60 lbs. and walk over 10 miles a day. I have been doing it for about 10 years now. My cousin told me that this is the first year that he is not running in the marathon. He is 87 years old.
There are many diet and weight loss programs that I am sure you already know about. So pick your own pacifier. They all work. Just remember to do it or die. If this question were in the Religious category, I would tell you "don't wait for the hearse to take you to Church". Well, the same health principles apply here. Good Luck.

I read that it has no proven record but fruit for breakfast, starch for lunch, and protein for dinner has worked for some. You can have salad or vegetables (or both) with lunch and dinner. If you really want to change your energy levels eat raw. Alkalising your body by cutting back on acid producing food may help too. So many people are incredulous that fruit can get you through the morning and yes it is essential that you hit the starch at lunch time, but try it and see, without the starch hit in the morning your body won't be pumping out insulin and looking for another dose of the same. Water between meals is a good idea. The best part is no calorie counting, feeling more energetic and stabilising to and maintaining your ideal weight. The downside is affording the money and time to consume mountains of food.

I am 56 and several months ago I weighed 192 lbs. now i am down to around 165-my niece suggested I stopped eating after 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon. For the most part this is what I do, even though I occasionally have a bowl of ice cream in the evening. I eat breakfast and a good sized meal for lunch and I have discovered I am not hungry in the evening and I got an added bonus the constant heartburn I was having every nite and taking to bed with me plus getting up in the morning with is basically non existent now. so I am losing weight slowly but also taking care of another physical problem I was having. I feel better and accomplish more. Good luck in your endeavor-perseverance is the most important thing you can do-make up your mind and don't let anyone stop you from accomplishing what you set out to do.

There is absolutely NO reason getting in shape should be painful, period. If you are heavier than you would like to be, you are endangering your health, so get to it now. Here is my "secret." (not a secret at all, but usually not advertised, because there is no money in it). Eat only one thing...as much as you want of it, but only one thing. We are all made of meat, no ifs, ands, or buts. When I elect to lose weight, I decide on a "diet" of whatever meat I want...usually rib eye steak. It costs a lot of money in the begining, for I eat two of these things a day. But, believe me, no matter what you choose, you will become bored with it shortly and begin to eat less and less....soon, you will be down to one stead a day, then 1/2 steak, etc. Your body will tell you when you must eat, but if you only allow that one thing, soon enough you will be down to about 1000 calories a day, and the wieght will fall away quickly. NO ONE is so busy they cannot take time to take care of themselves. Get your butt to a gym and start resistance training...light at first, but stick to it...3 times a week, never miss a day. You will tone the weak muscles, your shape will be amazing very quickly, and you will be so excited, you will not ever want to stop again. So very easy, and actually becomes fun. You need no "latest, greatest fad diet" to do this. Steak has ALL things essential that you need. If you choose, take a multivitamin daily. Working out will lower your blood pressure, change your metabolism, and give you a great body. Trust me, I was where you are, followed my own advice, and at 66, am probably one of the better built men my age, have energy, zest for life, and always have that extra punch needed when things get rough. Gym time is my own little world, just for me, no cares, no requirements from those I love. Take the time for yourself and your life will be very different. Good luck - and by the way, if you do not believe me, click on my avatar, go to my 360 page and take a look at what a man, who only 3 years ago was 35 pounds overwieght looks like at 66 ! Hopefully, this will give you some incentive...not that I look like a 20 year old, that is not my goal. My goal is to be decent looking for 66. I hope I have succeeded, but it is a life journey, not a day's journey.

At 59 I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I began the Atkins diet, eating no more than 30 carbs a day. I was never hungry and lost 90 pounds in six months. I no longer need any medication for the diabetes and feel and look so much better. I've kept the weight off easily for seven years.

I am over 50 and yes you can, cut out "white" stuff, eat only things from the outer isles of the grocery store, eat live foods like veg tables, fruits, not Ritz crackers and soda. Seems incredible doesn't it but honestly this works, I know it's hard and takes more time especially on your schedule but I think you can do it, you can also do Isometric exercises in the car. Good Luck to you.

When I was 53 years old, I lost about 50 pounds on the Atkins diet, I have to go back on again, as I have gained a few back. but it worked for me. It took about 5 months.
Otherwise just low calorie, and low carb foods in general, should help.

im four'10 & i weigh 127 (used to weigh one hundred thirty) and i used to be JUST over my BMI- so i dont nessicarly suppose you are overwight. BUT; DO NOT STOP EATING ALL TOGETHER. whilst you do that, your mettabolism slows down and it jsut makes the meals you do devour, be ten occasions as pricey as earlier than. devour a small meal for breakfast, ie; a yogurt bar and a few water. then via out the day preserve hydrated by way of drinkgin nutrition water (or anything simular) then for lunch have a few yogurt and fruit with water. then opt for a figure out, burn a few energy, then for dinner splurge a bitk, have a grilled chese wil grilled chicked breast or anything or you'll jsut stick to a salad. :]

Those measurments are hips, abdomen, bust, arms, thighs and waist. I have never met her because she works out mornings and I work out evenings, but she is an ispiration to all of us that work out there.
