Can't say about the UK, but the wet and miserable days here in New South Wales, Australia is very welcome indeed.

It is cold, windy and miserable but we need rain so badly here, we are loving it. Up until this year, it would be very possible that there were children under five years old of age who has never seen rain.

Cheers

It's doing my head in!

As I live on a new housing estate that's still being built - every time it rains the roads flood with mud. We have to walk through it with our buggies - then when you get home you have to try as hard as you can not to bring the mud in to your new house. Our carpets are ruined!
I can't take the little one to the park - everywhere's soaking. My cats were attacked by hail stones yesterday - which made me chuckle to see them dive for cover.
We've got a speedboat - and we do wakeboarding at a lake near us. So far this year we've been twice. Even on days when it hasn't rained we can't go up the lake as the level has risen so far that it's dangerous to get the boats in.

'Rain, rain, go away....
Come again another day....'

Just heard that the torrential rain has meant that some fruit & veg will be ruined this year.

Just great!

This is the worst summer I ever remember. Most annoying is you go out all togged up cos its lashing down. Then the sun comes out for 5 mins and its sweltering. Trying to get your washing dry is a nightmare!
