July 4th, 1776, is when America declared it's independence from Britain. Americans celebrate that date every year to remember why we're The United States of America, and not just a giant British colony.

The Americans are people from England, and other places of the world, that came here to celebrate their Freedoms, independent from England, but they act just like the country they suppose to be independent from. They aren't independent anymore they are "dependent" on the people they wanted to get away from. This day is called "Independence Day" but isn't.
