i don't like my nurse, and she wants to see me next week after the urine sample is confirmed that i am pregnant. Then she said she will want to see me when i am 25 weeks pregnant, and every other 5 weeks. i thaught after a GP you can go to the hosiptal for the scan routine. could someone let me know, why she would want to see me, she is a nurse not an obsterician.

She can see you if its in relation to a check up.

But if you don't like her, go else where. The last thing you need is to feel more uncomfortable when your pregnant.
I would want to see a GP or an obstetrician.

Ring up your local hospital and ask them the common procedure for pregnancy in your country/ state.

I know I see a GP up until 20 weeks and then I have to see Dr who specialises in pregnancy (I don't know specific qualifications) for the remainder of pregnancy.

Hospitals usually aren't the place for routine medical care. She may be a nurse but she is acting as a practitioner. The visits she is talking about are routine checkups that you get when you're pregnant. If you don't like her, can you switch to a different practice? Perhaps you should be at an ob/gyn.

what the nurse has told you is routine for all pregnant women. This is refered to as prenatal care which is really important. What I don't understand is why SHE is the one who wants to see you.Unless ur GP is also an ob/gyn ,you should be seeing a doctor who has these certifications or a midwife.Does your GP do deliveries?
But rest assured that these visits are routine and very necessary.
