i understand you misery. try sleeping on your side with a pillow between your legs- it takes the weight of bump. you will cry at everything- your hormones are everywhere and your not getting enough sleep. try and sleep duing the day- even if it meens your not doing anything else.
rest ALOT. in a couple of weeks you'll need it to get through the labour.
please dont do anythink to force the labour. i know enought ppl whos babies have died. please dont be one of them

Well... sleeping well could make a big difference. You can take a half a unisom every night, it will help you sleep longer. This is what my doctor told me.
I go to sleep... then when I wake up after a few hours, I take the half unisom (I put it by my bed) and go back to sleep. It is safe for the baby, so don't worry about that. Make sure you get the tablets, not the liquid gels.
As far as discomfort and all that goes... that will leave when the baby gets out. You can try a few ways of natural induction. Walking, nipple stimulation, sex, and/or a hot bath... Oh and raspberry tea.
Good luck, hope something I said helps!
Hope you can sleep, you are going to need it! Congrats on the new baby!

tbh when I started feeling like this (at 38 weeks I felt so awful all I did was cry) I must have been gearing up for labour as my son was born a few days later (38 weeks + 5 days)
Your hormones go a bit crazy around the time labour is imminent and as you're full term from 38 weeks onwards you could be very very close! Take heart!!!
btw Raspberry leaf tea does work - I drank plenty of it and my baby was a week early, plus my labour was quick for a first timer (8 hours)

I'm 37 and a half weeks also, and anxious to not be pregnant anymore too.
The truth is, there is no way to 'hurry' labor along. A lot of people recommend self-induction methods, but the truth is most of these are based on old wives tales. And while a couple of methods do have scientific proof to back them up, they don't work unless your body is getting ready to go into labor anyways.

We have all sooooo been there! Everything you're describing is perfectly normal. Just hang in there. If you like, you could call your doctor's office and ask the nurse if there's anything your doctor would suggest to bring on labor. There are different ways, but you want to make sure you're doing everything safely.
And, when that baby comes, it will all be worth it. Enjoy!

Hugs!
Been there.
You don't actually want to hurry your baby out before s/he's ready- hang in there- but once you have gotten to your due date there are accupressure techniques you could use to hurry things along. Do something to distract yourself in the meantime, and know that we hear ya and sympathize!

coming from a man who really doesn't have any business giving advice on this matter. SUCK IT UP, quit your crying. You are having a baby and you knew it would difficult. It will be worth it.
