It all depends on the size of the box I'm handling.
I find it best to align my hips centrally to the box if it's at waist height. But if it's on the floor - squatting is best with a firm hand-grip.
Did you know i can lift them with my face? :D

The first thing I would do is ask someone to help me lift, if it is a large object. Second, the best way to lift something heavy is to bend over with your back straight, then slowly rise to a standing position. This will prevent a lot of muscle strains.

Obviously someone else to do it for you is the best way. Failing that and you have to pick it up yourself keep your back straight, bend your knees and lift with your legs not your arms. As a general rule I would seriously consider asking for help if the object you want to life be heavier than 20kgs

Rockets can move some serious tonnage. The roar of the engine and that streak of smoke is way cool. It gives pressing a button a whole new dimension.

Kneel down to a squatting position. Pick up the object using your legs to push up your body. If you pick it up just bent over, you will inevitable pull muscles in your back.
