If she has been abducted I would like to think the abductor would be caught . However just reading about other child cases. It does suggest that most are never caught or the child found alive.

I do think the wall of silence/pact of the families friends needs to crumble.

The direct answer is no, I don't think the abductor (if there was one) will be caught.
Without going into a rant, there isn't much evidence to suggest she was abducted, 'snatched', 'stolen' or anything else. Saying it over and over doesn't make it so. Abduction is one possibility. Accident is another. Murder, sadly, is a third.
The whole thing is extremely depressing.

If Madeleine is still alive, and she grows up into a woman, then maybe at some stage she may be recognised, and reunited with her family, then and only then i think there will be a chance of finding out who abducted her. Lets hope that poor little child is still alive, and not suffering.

Carter S: Are you kidding - return her to her loving parents, these are the people who left Maddie and her brother and sister asleep alone in a room while they went off for a meal!!!! That is definitely not my idea of 'loving parents'!!!!!!

In answer to the original question, I doubt very much if the abductor(s) will be caught as there is no definite proof yet as to who took her and why. I hope every day that she is found safe and well, but maybe too much time has passed now for that to be a reality :(

Sorry for the rant :(

I do believe she was abducted and i hope & pray she will found safe one day soon and the abductor caught & punished. Every case is different. I've read about some children being found after years while some, sadly, don't ever turn up. Still, when hope is all one has, one should never give up.

Edit: Elaine D, how you can accuse someone of such a horrific crime without any solid proof amazes me.

They might find her if the parents actually organise a search with the funds that have been provided for that reason and stop objecting to the police investigating any tip offs they receive regardless whether they're a hoax or not - I mean, how do you know if it's a hoax unless you check it out?

I hope so but there is no way to know for sure. Given that the police have no strong leads it may come down to forensic evidence and there seems to be questions now about how contaminated the crime scene was immediately following the realisation that Maddy was missing.

I pray that the child is found alive and returned - and that the people responsible face the full weight of the law.
