Four billion years ago, complex carbohydrates and long protein chains started to form in the carbon rich waters of primordial earth. Some people call this the primordial "soup".
Eventually over time, self replicating strands of nucleic acids began to form. Then it was just a couple of steps from DNA. Then you get one celled creatures like the Amoeba, then simple tube worms, then gradually more complex organisms. Then amphibians crawled out of the oceans and reptiles came along soon after and dominated the planet for a billion years. 65 million years ago mammals got a helping hand when a comet wiped out the dinosaurs. 5 million years ago, furry little primates began walking around on two legs, four million years ago, australopithicus began the path toward modern humans (homo sapiens) but there were many players in the meantime like cro-magnon man and neanderthals. Evolution happens so slowly humans can't see it, maybe that's why many people choose to disbelieve it (or maybe they're just stupid).

I don't care how many "thumbs down" I get for this answer. I will stand by my God! Yehushuah (Jesus) said we would be persecuted for our faith.... so here goes lol...

I could never believe in "evolution. God created man just as you see us. We could not have evolved from apes... if so.... how come we don't look like them. I'll stick to my faith, thank you very much. The more I study the Bible, and look at what's happening today, and compare the two... How could I not!?

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Read all of Genesis 1.

And if you ask me, I firmly believe that the earth is no older than 6 to 10 thousand years. It would take a book to explain that...
