The term Jaffa is used to describe exceptionally well bowled, practically unplayable delivery in cricket. However,no one seems to know exactly from where it came from.

The only possibility is that 'jaffa' in Hebrew means 'beauty' - which would tie in nicely with an unplayable ball being described as a beauty.
