Am I the only one who's gonna be stuck home on the 4th of July?? For some odd reason, I never get to go out on holidays. . .even birthdays! Should I feel bad about it? Or should I not care?

Try to imagine what you like to happen strongly, do not think how or when, try to not think you're fooling yourself with this method.
Good luck!

I hear you. There's so much pressure put on having fun holidays. Thanksgiving for example, is always a let down, because I don't have much family that live near me, and of course birthdays are a ton of pressure too. I always feel bad unless I have a certain amount of fun or something. But then I think, am I the one who really cares? Or have just been trained to think that I SHOULD care? In any case, you aren't alone, and I really hope you don't feel too bad about it. :) Happy 4th.

Dont feel bad

I am moving to a new apartment on the 5th. hence my life is all packed up. I have to go buy firniture on the 4th for my new place, which isnt the best thing to do. Best part my dad is visiting me but he cant lift stuff so I have to have an obligatory parent visit but still carry all of my stuff down two floors and up three floors of stairs!

Sry for venting. I am just a little stressed - to answer your question dont feel bad about staying home alone and making most of your day off- I had to spend xmas alone because i barely know anyone in this state! and xmas alone is much ore pitiful! lol

go out. have fun,

Lol. Aw.
I'm staying home 4th of July, too because it's gonna rain and stuff.
Don't feel bad. Just relax.
Watch movies and stuff and then maybe you can go out to see some fireworks or get some of your own.

Try not being able to see your family for months at a time AND not being home for 4th of July. Trust me, you could be in much worse situations.

no you should feel good on the 4th, thats what its about. you are a free living american, doing as you wish. you should have a small group of friends or family just to hang out with and watch the fireworks, or the cubs game! Have fun, happy holiday! id4!

I'll be at home. But it's because I choose to. My daughter and her father are going to a family cook out. I don't want to go. So I'm staying home. If you want to go out then go. Even if it means hanging out by yourself. Go to a park. Go watch the fireworks if you like. One shouldn't depend on others for company. I rather be by myself than around people I don't get along with. That's why I'm staying home.

You are absolutely unique! Be brave and open that door, step outside! Where do you want to go? Why? Don't feel bad - the TV has the best fireworks ever!

i cannot understand why you should be stuck at home are you grounded because you have done something wrong and your parents forbid you to go out. If not what was the reason for this to happen to you.

Are you chained to a potty seat? Go look for some excitement! Leave any bad attitude at home.

I hope I'm stuck at home.... cuz if not the only place I know my family will go to is either my sisters house or my uncles.. and both of those are hell.
