you need to have an "operating system" "boot cd".
just insert the boot cd. switch on the system and let the system run.Afterwards you will see an option that"to boot from cd press any key".press any key.

When os loads from cd.press the install fresh os option.format full and not quick format.then the os will be installed automatically.

When done with it load all the drivers and all.Now u need to safeguard for any future virus attacks.Just download the following softwares they are all free and good.your system will be safe for fututure, provided you update them periodically. And one more thing if using Windows os after the fresh install go to microsoft updates and install all the security updates there.

If you can boot in safe mode, you can run your antivirus. You can also go to a friends computer and download and run one on yours.

this happened to mine. apparently it was overheating as it was clogged up with dust etc, took off the cover and gave everything a good clean and it was fine after that.

You will have to format your primary partition and I am afraid you will have to get it done by someone else.
