When almost all of his ideas were approved by a congress that was almost half full of democrats?
5/19/2002-- 80% of American's approve of Bush's handling on terror.
"Bush’s popularity peaked the week after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, when 90 percent of respondents said they approved of the job he was doing." He is doing the same thing now that he was doing then, we have had 0 terrorist attacks since then, why all the hate?
March 2003.
76% of American's agree with invading Iraq. Now that we have done that and the battle wasn't as easy and smooth as anticipated, only 20% of people think it was a good idea, everyone wants to act like they never supported the war, wants to tuck tail and run... where is the spirit of perserverance?
It just seems to me that everyone, 90% of the country at one point, supported and loved our president and his courage, and now that things aren't as easy as they seemed, everyone wants to blame him and act like they never supported him.

You are right. These constant complainers are just unhappy in general.
They don't like the situation our nation is in, are feeling apprehensive and instead of doing something positive to aid our country, find it much easier to set behind their keyboards spewing criticism.
I firmly believe that had 9/11 not happened, Bush would have led us into a Golden Age of prosperity (though Clinton left us with so much deferred expense, it is hard to know for sure), operated with a Reaganesque style and we'd all be getting warm fuzzies whenever thinking of him.
Too bad it didn't turn out that way for him. I think he deserves it regardless. I respect his leadership and direction very much.

Its easy for Americans to point a blame the leader than it is our self. No matter who the leader is....we have found a way to hate them. Who cares that Clinton got it on at the white house but people wanted to impeach him because he "lied" so what. And most people who wanted the war thought there would at least be an end in sight when we got that *** but there isn't. I'm glad the war is not at home, but I think we need to stop being so nice. We can end with war very fast but we are being to nice right now. If we attack with all we got and stop just patrolling we might get some crap done.

Because he is a brain dead douche bag who has an inate ability to f**k every thing that he touches! Pretty simple, really.
Who was it that aided and abetted the escape of his terrorist friends the Bin Laden clan, on the day after 9/11? You can't blame Clinton, "the Gipper" or anybody else for that!
And he got his "war in Iraq" only because he LIED to the people so that he could get his hands on the Iraqi's oil for his buddies at Halliburton and Exxon. WMD's, my ar se!
Now he is trying to emulate his fascist role model - HITLER, by turning the country into the Republic of Crawford. And the part of Goebbels is being brilliantly portrayed by Dick head Cheney.
And to mention Bush and courage in the same sentence is an oxymoron, like military and intellegence!
Wake up and smell the coffee, dude!

I never thought Iraq was a good idea and I never supported bush at all. I knew from square that he was a tard in wolf's clothing. He only proved me right.
The only thing I supported that he has ever pushed was the private SS accounts.
But you're right, he's doing the same as always. Too bad it took the rest of the country 6 years to wake up to it. You are still dreaming.
EDIT: I assume you have the approval figures for congress too since you're all over bush's sack. Take a look, congress's figures are just as bad as bush's in a lot of places. We're aware that it took a majority of gov't being idiots to do this to us and the world. You say the congress was "almost half full of democrats". Then that makes all this bush's and more than half of congress's fault.
Seems like you are trying to deflect the blame from where it belongs. You just stay the course buddy. We'll wait for you here.

People pull together during a crisis, also during 9/11 Bush had not done much that those of us that don't like him found reprehensible. When he invaded Iraq, he lied to us and told us Saddam could hurt us here, eventually the lies came out. He just hasn't done much good. He invaded a foreign power, and you can say what you want about his reasons but he had no right to do that. He took a budget surplus and made it the biggest deficit ever. And the reason I think he has lost most people who supported him, he has a sense of arrogance around him, His generals tell him things, the democrats tell him things, even some of his own party tell him things and he ignores them, He thinks he is right no matter what. also, he's the president, and as another president once said, "the buck stops here."

The problem is that U.S. media is basically liberal-oriented and most people get their information from these oulets. A standing president is always an easy target because his every move is scrutinized for fault. He has lost credibilty by attempting to appease his detractors. You speak the truth when you mention a congress that has proposed nothing in the way of reasonable solutions. Rather, they seem to spend all of their energy conspiring against him. Truly, our elected officials do not represent the views of the people.

Mr. Bush is the man in charge - the Executive Officer. Part of being President involves taking responsibility for what goes on in your country just as the president of a major corporation is the one held responsible if his organisation becomes embroiled in a major scandal. Nobody forced Mr. Bush to run for office. The fact that he did run for President implies that he was willing to take the immense responsibility that that office entails. On the other hand, I am not aware of any President resigning because he couldn't take the pressure of being the one held responsible for the nation's misfortunes.

it's true that if people are economically prosperous, then they favor the current prez.
it's also true that if people are displeased by the economy, or perhaps other things, then they lay the blame at the current prez's doorstep...
it should be recognized that the congress is responsible for making and passing law into effect...
the prez is the one who is responsible merely for the ENFORCEMENT of the law WHICH CONGRESS PASSED, perhaps even over a presidential veto...
we are really screwed when we have a situation where a whacked out congress wants to grant amnesty to 12 to 20 MILLION ILLEGAL immigrants, and a whacked out prez actually AGREES with them!!!!!

"he isn't the WORST PRESIDENT IN united statesheritage!! try invoice CLINTON!!" Please furnish the point standards upon which you base that assertion. determining who replaced into, or replaced into not, a stable president will continuously be a subjective exercising. no count how undesirable a pacesetter would have been, there'll continuously be some who may help them.

man, good job at pointing all this out and supporting it with facts!
I´m totally with you, people are just so fickle these days, have no integrity, and are too quick to jump on any bandwagon that takes the less bumpy road.
I´m glad that Bush isn´t fickle like the public, and doesn´t change his stand on issues just to "win more votes" he does what he knows needs to be done....
it just amazes me how many people in this country still think we are invincible and that we cannot be hurt... i though america woke up from this false reality on 9-11..... amazes me that so many people didn´t hear this wake-up call, they opened their eyes but only enough to hit the snooze button and go back to sleep....
well, bush woke up.. and when he did he hit the ground running while too many in this nation were still fast asleep.
