Witchety grubs, baby fruit bats and green sea turtle roasted over an open fire in the sand on Croker Island, an Aboriginal settlement in the far north of Australia.
The witchety grubs taste a bit like chicken; turtle meat is reckoned to be the fattiest meat in the world - we all had gall bladder attacks afterwards - and the fruit bats were the hardest for me to eat - they looked like little barbequed embryos!
