What could be said of this?

To Whom it may concern:

I wish to verify the genuinness of the attached letters bellow.I was a volunteer who came to Nigeria to assist in the agriculture sector in one of the universities in Nigeria.I can't remember if i met these fellows who claim to be presidents in your church and I don't know how the got my email address.This looks like a scam mail to me and I want to forward same to the law enforcement agencies.

Below are the letters sent to me and i will not take it lightly from a church that is supposed to preach the word of God.

IF YOU MUST GIVE ANY MONEY OR YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFO< ITS A SCAM< I ALWAYS DELETE THESE EMAILS. This is a scam set up in africa to scam americans. They will actaully send a representative from africa to collect your money and say that your money will be given to you after they get yours and then you never gear from the guy again or see you money, or they require your bank info and they take all your money out of your account. let me tell u something, the email u copy pasted here is called the Nigerian scam, and its NOT REAL, I REPEAT ITS NOT REAL.

they could have accessed ur email address from 3rd parties. u may have joined a newsletter and that company may have forwarded/sold ur data to the scamming companies. Or they can use softwares to generate email addresses based on say for an example: joe_doe can randomly generate joedoe or joedoe1. GOT IT?

u can block such emails by setting ur anti-spam priority settings higher. u can also email them a fake bounce email saying ur email address doesn't exist.

I'd report it. A couple things red-flagged me.

First, our church does not have (as far as I know) Districts. We have wards,stakes, missions (there are districts within missions, but I doubt this wasthe aces.

Also, NO one knows FIVE MONTHS ahead of time if they are getting called to a position, and even if he were told five months ahead of time, he is NOT supposed to tell ANYONE.

Sounds like a scam to me.
