well, I would stop the scary movie watching all together. Scary movies aren't really family movies. I think a good age for a kid to watch a scary movie is about 12 years old. By then they know the difference between real and not real. As for tornado movies, they scare the heck out of me and I'm 23! They do need to know that in reality tornados are real, but I wouldn't let them watch them to much.

I'm the other way round. Movie wise, nothing scared me as a kid. I saw a really yucky one called Cannibal Holocaust or something when I was very young (and purely by accident by the way) and it didn't bother me in the slightest. I saw bits of it again quite recently at a friends house, and it made me throw up. Go figure!

I remember my freind's mom gave me a video tape and it was about disney world (halloween special) She was telling me and my mom how her son couldnt watch it cuz it was soo scary. So i was like 3 years old and watched the video.. it had kids acting and exploring the park etc and the "scary" part came on.. it was captain from peter pan, mickey, donald, goofy, minney, etc, with white sheets draped over them like ghosts and danced around in a circle with a spooky song.
OMG I had to pee soo bad but the bathroom was dark and the hallway was dark so I was frightened that they would all pop out so i ran back to the sofa and just PEED there. Now looking at the video, Its hilarious how that scene scared the crap out of me.

Has to be Charlie and the Chocolate Factory lol, I know it wasn't a scary movie but watching the green haired Umpa Lumpas wandering around in that movie just freaked me out when I was little. When I look back at it, it isn't as scary as I thought lol.

"The Legend of Boggy Creek" had us kids terrified to go hiking into the woods. I recently watched that movie and thought to myself, this has to be the corniest movie I have ever saw.
