Honestly, it may be PCOS. I personally suffer from this and that is how it started. I didnt get a period for about 18 months, and then when it came, it was horrible. If I were you, I would go see the doctor as soon as you can. Getting yourself on a regulated schedule (through birth control) may help you catch it before it gets bad. (My first period after months of not having it was so bad I actually became severly anemic from it because I lost so much blood and it lasted 2 1/2 months before the doctor stopped it.) I hope this helps.

Put it on a credit card, borrow it from a lending institution or apply for government financial aid, ASAP. Your health is well worth the cost of a specialist. Serious illnesses, some which might be life-threatening, must be ruled out or diagnosed if your menstrual period has stopped. Endocrine gland problems, certain medications, endometriosis, stress, early menopause and even ovarian cancer could cause the menstrual period to stop. The earlier one is diagnosed for certain health problems, the greater is the likelihood of a cure and a good prognosis. This is not about money -- it is about your life .

Definitely go. Not only is it abnormal for you to miss your period for 4 months, but girls should start seeing a gynecologist at 18 or when they begin sexual activity (whichever comes first). It can be overwhelming and scary at first, but it's really not that bad. And it's a lot less scary than not knowing what's wrong with your body. I've been going to a midwife for the past couple years and they really know how to make you feel comfortable physically, emotionally and mentally.

it's possible that you may have PCOS. One of the symptoms is amennorrhea (lack of periods) caused by hormonal imbalances. You will need to consult an MD or gynecologist for diagnosis. However you can look up PCOS on the net to see if this fits what you are experiencing.

Get to a gynecologist right away. You could have a hormone imbalance, but I don't know what would cause your belly to swell. Your health is more important than money.

Could be related to a hormone imbalance.

this could be fibroids which can cause irregularity or hormones. it is very important that you have it checked to rule out things like cervical cancer or ovarian cancer.
