Only a good mechanic can tell you that. And that's AFTER taking the engine apart. Good luck, I hope it's not too bad.

Cracked head wouldnt cause the vehicle not to start. You may have melted something vital or caused a worse problem by drivng it that far. If you can get it started the way to tell if you have a cracked head in most cases if you take the radiator cap off when you start it the antifreeze will start spitting out like a heart pumping blood through an open artery. The reason for this is that compression is escaping through the cooling system and the air beeing pushed in displaces the coolant. Hope that helps. Good Luck!!

4.3 liter V-6 engine or 2.5 I Tech 4 cyl. Either way a new motor will cost more than a running 17 year old s-10 truck is worth. Used motors will have lots of miles and require all new rubber hoses and new radatiors too. GM crate motor probably the best option. But after you get it up and running $3,000 spent you can sell the truck for $1,200 or drive it waiting on the transmission to fail. BYE BYE old Paint

Wait till it cools down, then try starting. If it wont turn over its seized and motor is finished, you need a new motor.
If it spins freely and wont start the rings have collapsed from heat and motor is finished, you need a new motor.
If it starts, turn it off again, dont run for long. Then add coolant and restart with radiator cap off, look for constant bubbles in the coolant.if bubbles then the head is most likely cracked.

The ONLY way to be sure the head(s) are cracked is to have them removed........Anything else is guessing,,,, ther are symptoms of a broken or damaged head, but they also apply to the head gasket also.. IF it does not start it is usually because of lack of compresson, or a hydralic (cylinder full of fluid) condition...; even the BEST will have to speculate as to exact nature of your problem........BEST THING TO DO IS TO SCRAP THE TRUCK or If you like it install another engine

the 91 blazer is only available in v/6 ,but there are plenty of those engines around, which is good, cuz you will need one,you probably seized the engine up by overheating, don't think about rebuilding it,it's junk,I guess only you will know if its worth even changing,
