How do you find what SQL server is running?

If you goto computer management by Right clicking on my computer, and selecting Manage. The SQL Servers should be lised under Services and Applications.

On windows machine, I assume Win2kSP4 server, go to Services. Administrative Tools _> computer services.

On unix box ps -ax | grep sql will give you an answer
