Unfortunately most Americans do equate nudity with sexuality...you're right - it doesn't make any sense.
It's gotten to the point where people look down on mothers nursing thier children in public because someone might catch a 2 second glimpse of thier breast. SOme people even suggest they should feed thier baby in the bathroom! how gross!! I say if it bothers you then YOU eat your food in the bathroom!

I agree with you, on some levels.
You have to look at it, in a religious perspective too. I mean, most people think [and parents, usually] that if a kid sees a naked person on TV/movie, it's obviously wrong because in religion, your body is sacred, and of course, showing it off without a main logical reason, is suppose to be "a bad thing" & your body is something you have to respect, in form of respecting yourself as well. Another reason why, is simply because some people are really immature about the fact that there's "nude people" all over the place. Like you said, nudity is a normal thing, and it's simply a human body, but it's harder for some people to understand, especially children and teens. I guess our society makes nudity more extreme than it is, because many people have stood agaisn't it, for these and many other reasons.

Maybe those who are opposed to nudity live in a cold climate.
Seriously though, nudity in itself is okay, but if TV shows nudity for its own sake, without any relevance to the plot, then it is not a good idea.
Perhaps it is because it reminds people of our fallen nature. Adam and Eve only realized they were naked after eating of the tree of knowledge. All the violence and swearing is put up with on TV, because it doesn't remind us of our nakedness, our Fall. Violence is commonplace in the Bible. Nudity less so, but mainly in reference to sin.

because of the fact in the process the 18th and nineteenth century ecu way of existence replaced to evaluate nudity a technique or the different "incorrect". This had little to do with faith (however the impact of the Muslim profession of huge components of Europe could have had some thing to do with it) yet plenty greater with the low temperatures experienced in the process the little ice age that made it crucial that individuals have been heavily clad while going exterior for a great number of the twelve months. subsequently nudity (even short sleeve shirts and short trousers/skirts) disappeared from public view and grow to be compelled entirely into the area of inner maximum affairs.

I agree with you. Some people think the sight of body parts is going to start the lusting process. Making body parts taboo to the eye is what makes nudity more sensual to some. Lets train our minds to be more upset with vulgarity and violence.

Nudity is highly overrated. Unfortunately you can get sunburned without the proper covering.

It's jealousy, that's all.
Most bodies shown on TV are nicer and artifificially enhanced. Typical people don't look good by comparison.

nudity leads to lust, which leads to sex or masturbation, which could lead to rape or acts of sexual violance or assault against someone.
