Does ny 1 event think gary will make an episode in diamond and pearl?

does ny 1 think gary and paul will battle and who will win... r ash and gary close frnds now since i seen the episode when ash gave gary half of that old pokeball... and they seemed more happy and frnds but ya

Gary was a prominent character in the Kanto region and even in the Jhoto league. However afterwards it is said that he wants to be a professor so we can only assume hes studying elsewhere or secretly training to battle Ash again. Though before he left for Shinoh Ash and Gary did battle.

who knows, he may be the shinnoh champion for all we know since we havent seen him since the jhoto series
