Depends on the ingredients. Every brand puts different ingredients in their products. If you have an allergy to a particular ingredient that is in a certain mascara, then yes, that mascara can be bad for your eyes. If that is the case, dont use that mascara, but that doesn't mean all mascara is bad for you.

If you have sensitive eyes it is generally best to stay away from those white mascara primers (which go underneath mascara) and it is also good to avoid many thickening mascaras, because they often have fine particles which can get into the eye and irritate.

Water proof mascara can sometimes irritate the eyes if worn every day, due the waterproofing ingredients. But again, it depends on what those ingredients are and if you have an allergy to them.

yes, depends on the mascara. Although water proof mascara are great when you're in the water. It will take away your eye lashes. And if you're not careful with the brush you might get some eye disease (it's rare) dont' let any one else uses it. just think of it as your tooth brush. well I normall use normal mascara without waterproof because it's easier to take off and better for my eyes. There are some kind of mascara that have an end where there's white and another end where there's black.

Those will make your eyelashes soo much longer and more volume. But everytime you take the mascara off it will take off some of your eye lashes too. Because the white stuff is kind of fake lashes but they're white and i think they're kind of plastic-ish... and when you put it on. The white part will be the extended part of your eyelashes and if you take it out. Some of your eyelashes will fall off.

Actually it does not effect everyone. Since mascara is made of chemicals (all makeup is!), some of the substances could be allergic to some people and it may not be allergic to others. I just prefer not using them, because it's not natural, and when you have to remove them, your eyelashes sometimes come off.

my eye doctor advised me to stop wearing eye makeup as it was getting in my eyes...after stopping for 6 weeks, I returned for a follow up visit and he said he could STILL see mascara on my lashes! my eyes have been doing better since stopping using it everyday...

Not at all. BUT if you get any sort of eye infection, chuck it and start again with a new one. NEver share it - and remember it has about a three month shelf life anyhow, so you should buy new then.

*couldn't do without the stuff!!*

Huh? Is that true? Well, i am not so sure becoz i don't like wearing make-up...(just light ones) but i have heard you should not share it. Also replace it every 2 or 3 months or they might hurt your eyes.

no its not bad but u should change it after every three months because when u open it germs or dust gets stuck on the applicator which can cause an infection.

Not really. Just don't share it, and be sure to replace it every few months, or any time you've had an illness.

no it's not. but if you don't take it off at night it will get into your eyes and damage them--so make sure you remove all your eye make-up at night.
