My wife and I have been together for 4yrs (married 2) and I made the big mistake a few days ago. She does not know about the incident and will MOST likely never know unless I come clean. The down and DIRTY of it all is that we (my wife and I) were at a party at some friends place, she left early and I stayed behind when it all happened a few hours later. During the heat of the moment I had the reality check and I said the classic “I cant do this line,” and drove home (another poor decision being extremely drunk.) I realize it was my fault for even being in the situation. I have never had a one-night stand or come close to cheating on any of my 3 prior partners. I am 26 and like to binge drink on occasion (not after this though.)

I considered myself a Christian up to now and have been reading the good book to find my solution. I feel like it is my sin to bear and that if I tell her it will only relieve me of my guilt and put an unnecessary burden on her. Any advice?

dude, listen up, 28 yrs married, screwed up once myself, kinda the same thing, was offered, and i got real close, but, do not tell her, it will only cause severe pain for both parties, everyone, I don't care what all these self righteous people tell you, everyone makes mistakes, some are better kept to yourself. You say you been reading, then hit your knees and talk to him, but, ask him for the forgiveness and keep your earthly mouth shut.

You live with it all by yourself don't brake your wife's heart over something you did. If you tell your wife what happened she will never look at you the same way or love you as deeply. The innocents will be gone not to mention the trust. All i can say is you better hope she doesn't find out about what happened after she left the party.

What is the most important thing in a relationship? Trust. And honestly comes in a very close second. You have to tell her. If you don't, you will always feel guilty about it and your relationship will suffer. Trust me on this, you will become suspicious of her and every time you make love you will remember. It will cause a disconnection between the two of you if you don't , plus that would make oyu a huge asshole. If oyu love her, do you really want her to be the stupid wife who you lied to. WHEN you do tell her, be ready for the consequences. Your an adult, you have to own up.

It will hurt her if you tell her - but make you feel better if you tell her.
I personally would keep my mouth shut and suffer the guilt silently - I could never hurt my man if I was in your shoes like that.

Sounds like you didn't cheat i.e. I can't do this. So what would you be confessing to a little drunken fondling.. please why hurt another person over that .... it's happens all the time and the worst mistake is to blow it out of proportion

dont listen to any of these so called xperts telling you to spill the beans.. spilling the beans is even more cruel than doing what you did. she would be blindsided and telling when they dont know is cruelty in the worst manner...so, keep your damn trap shut...
