Ok been happily married 16 yrs and im 38 and husband is 42 and we make love 2-3 times a week and he says he is always ready for sex whenever i want it and i love making love with him and i have never turned him down or rejected him and never would but i intiate most of time..He says he likes it when i do most of the intiating..Are other men like this?

It's reassuring to know your female partner enjoys sex.
Just SAYING it could be flattery. Men understand actions better than words- and what could be more honest than actively wanting more sex?

Each of us has different triggers...but from the answers it seems most men really enjoy the woman initiating sex. Me too. Why? Because traditionally it is the men who do the pursuing. In fact, it has only been in the last 50 years that it has been socially permissible for women to admit publicly they enjoy sex. There is the reality that men and women view sex differently. As a rule, men are willing any time, any where. Women, generally speaking, want a different approach and some degree of intimacy. Both are fine and both should be honored. One of the joys of being in a committed relationship is the fun of exploring each others tender moments, turn-ons and so forth. Your marriage sounds like you have reached an accommodation that works for you. Good for you.

yep. There's too many women that say the same thing as your husband which is "i'm always up for it". Then comes a time when the guy wants it and the woman is all "not right now". That being said, they stop asking cause they dont want that answer again, so theyre more likely to just "hint" they want it and wait for youto initiate.
MINDY: "nice to know that the man wants you aswell" - how many guys do you know that would turn it down!?!? lol

I just wanted to say to all of hte men who answered on here.....don't you think that a women wants to feel wanted too???!!! Hello!!! Women should not have to always initiate. It would be nice to know that the man wants you as well. In fact, it takes alot of hte pressure off, which in turn makes sex more enjoyable. Plus sometimes it's just sexy for the man to be aggressive instead of just laying there expecting you to do all of the work. I realized this after breaking up with my fiance, that we both initiated so it was natural and didn't feel like work. He'd wake me up by touching me and then just do it which was super sexy. Sometimes I'd just climb on top of him. There needs to be a balance.

The stereo type is the woman with the headache and believe me there are plenty of them out here. We men are really tired of rejection. MOST of us would just love for you to start things, that way there are no games as to whether you want anything or not. Believe it or not, we really are not that good at this! hello..well some men like for women to take charge in bed..they think its hot and when you want their bodies and actually say it ...they like that too, its ego boosting : o ) in other words a compliment and feeling of being wanted. My husband loves when i let him know i want him.
If you would like for him to initiate go ahead and let him know that it will be even more exciting if he would ask you as well. let him know its a turn on and that makes you even want him more.
