With the iphone you can use either Wi-Fi which is free either in your home network or at a Wi-Fi Hotspots (like coffee shops, hotels, airports, and or restaurants).

However you can use the internet through Cingular (A T&T) Edge network meaning you are using their internet if you can get a cell phone signal anywhere anyplace. Speeds are only 200 kilobits per second, which is extremely slow.

Your current Cingular plans 59.99 per month includes 450 rollover minutes and unlimited internet and email usage and 5,000 nights and weekends.

It Doesn't Coat You Money or Waste Your Data on Your iPhone. Wifi is FREE for the Smart Phones that Support Wifi. It's Like When You Hear "Free Wifi at Starbucks and Everyone Has their Smartphones and Laptops Out Because Wifi is Free.
