It would only be unethical if the acquaintance objected to the sale. If he has no problem with it, then you're fine. I believe that it is against ebay to sell humans, though. If it is permitted, however, you could run into another ethical conundrum if you misrepresented the item you are selling. When you describe him, make sure that you don't leave anything out. You should divulge everything, including whether or not he has bad habits, wets the bed, has bad breath, etc. You would be doing a great disservice if you sold someone something (or someone) that didn't work properly. Make sure he turns off and on, and make sure that he is paper-trained. It might be more trouble than it's worth, come to think of it.

No it wouldn't be unethical if you were the rightful owner of that person in the first place. Make sure you have a proper title to them before putting them on the market. Good Luck and I hope you get equal value for your property.

if you post another person for sale it will be seen and reported
your account could be suspended
it's not even funny
all someone would have to do is place a bid to be able to to to advanced search and get your contact info
they could get your phone number and then call the police with it (your jurisdiction)
you could then be charged with any number of crimes
you would then claim it to be a joke
you'd be fined a bunch of money
you'd maybe even be convicted
again - not funny
at all

First of all, no one has legal ownership over another individual. So you can do whatever you want on Ebay, doesn't mean it is legal.
However, if the other person's cool with it. Knock yourself out!

Unethical and illegal, and if he is that hard to put up with
the person that bought him would leave you negative feedback

You, the buyer, and Ebay would be subject to prosecution. It would be criminal for all concerned and, as such, an unenforceable contract, as well. Ebay would never allow it.
