I'll let you know when I hear and see more of him. Right now, he is still unseasoned. If he is anything as good as Dice-K Matsuka of the Red Sox, bring him on!!

Chow!!

he's the pitcher that helped his team win the high school national baseball championship last year. the same one that matsuzaka won with rediculous pitch counts in '98. I dont know where he is now. he'll definitly end up in the japanese professional league if he's not trying to go straight to the majors right away by signing a minor league contract with some MLB team. he was one of the best pitchers in the japanese high school system and had a fastball with good movement that could go up to the mid 90s along with some good breaking pitches. he has the skill to at least make it to the japanese pro-league, but whether or not he has the skill to dominate major league hitters like nomo did when he first got here or how matsuzaka has been doing in his last 6 starts is not clear. i only saw him facing the best high school players and havent read up enough about him to know if he has the stuff that would make him an ace in the pros or just somebody good enough to pitch in the pros.

His name is Yuki Saito and he turned down the pros to go to Waseda University. He plays college baseball and still looks to be going strong. So far, everyone's gonna keep an eye on him until he graduates, and once he does, then start the recruiting again.
