In Need Of a Car Air Freshner!?

My car has had a strong smell since i bought it a year ago! it smells like crayons and people have told me its something the dealership used to clean it, i don't really know. I bought it used so it could be anything. Whats the best Car air freshner to buy for my car?? i need one that will work!

I recommend sprinkling a box of baking soda over the interior of your car, let it sit for a day or so, and then vacuum it. That should suck up any stink that may be in the car.

If that doesn't work, find someone who has access to an ozinator. A company my dad does business with uses one of these things to get the stink out of a home after a fire. We put it in my grandpa's Cadillac when he sold it for a new one. He smokes like crazy and it seriously did the trick for getting the aroma of Kools and mothballs out of the car.

Car fresheners are only temporary solution to your problem. Most fresheners smell good only for about a week then fades away like it wasnt there, even in new cars. Besides, most fresheners are also harmful to the passengers much less the environment and contributes to the wear of the airconditioning unit.

I think to remove the smell on your car, you should have it cleaned by a competent car wash shop. If that doesnt work, replace some accessories like seat covers, mattings and even airconditioning filters.
