I do not know about the jokes but Bruce Lee once said that Chuck Norris was the best martial arts artist in the west. Our code at work in case of disaster is a call over the intercom for Chuck Norris to come to the front office. He was Walker, Texas Ranger and several other American hero type characters over the years. Still looks good for an old dude too.

Chuck Norris is... that is all you need to know.
Why? He is the icon onto which men started to use in order to brag about themselves after the rise of the Feminist movement made it wrong to be a man. Now that the sexes are working together it has become an outlet for men to make male jokes that sometimes break over the line of sexist material. (a safe way to act out the manliness that has been stifled)

Ya just gotta watch a couple of his movies! Good martial art, so-so acting. Just really entertaining 'B' movies.
Walker Texas Ranger came later. Its not funny, but is good to laugh at. If that makes sense. Those bad guys don't stand a chance!
