happiness....

smile in the mirror til you hate yourself for smiling then laugh out loud that you got mad at yourself for smiling....

then relax...rest......be joyful

check your diet also...you are what you eat.

never forget you have choice over everything...IT IS A MATTER OF PERCEPTION.

If you are lacking an example or role model of how to get well....talk to someone who can help...then choose to be whole.

You have heart and soul...I see it in your answers...so I'm rooting for you...be gentle on yourself........

you are ok just how you are.

Getting to a certain state of mind can be quick in minds that are balanced, however it may also just a superficial interpretation for them to dabble with...before easily returning to equilibrium.

The mind set of depression if it is truly a mind set is more concretely hard wired for depression...and will take much longer to counter act.

I was able to overcome intense chemical changes in my brain during an acute anxiety disorder...purely based on combating every negative or unproductive, fearful thought that took over my mind....with one of safety and wellness in every moment I could muster the awareness to do so.(It was severe ..I didn't speak for nearly 40 days)

It was a conscious choice based on my will to be free of it and to overcome for the sake of being whole.

I worked my way out of it against all predicted odds and am able to draw on the skills I learned in this intense meditative war...

to this day I am able to see more clearly the things, triggers, negativity, and insights that get me from one state to another and back again.....

I am whole and healthy and HAPPY! I will never be the same.

I prayed alot to..it helped so much.

I know an ancient southern black man who looks at you with almost blind eyes and smiles and says, "you know, if you THINK too much your brain will just jump the track!" Do you have a pet... a cat or a dog? How do they spend their days? They just take it as it comes, eat their meals, lay in the sun, take their naps lick their butts, delight in seeing you, chase the neighbor's dogs or birds or squirrels. They take each day as it comes until they die and they don't even worry about THAT. Ancient peoples and modern tribal people just live their lives. They are born, grow, cook, hunt, farm, mate, raise children, sleep, feast, pass it all on to the next generation, tell thier stories and get old and die. They just LIVE. To a modern person I would say, it may be hard to find happiness in YOURSELF, but it is impossible to find it anywhere else. Abraham Lincoln who was a depressive, had a crazy wife, lost three of his four sons in death in their childhood, and felt he was responsible for the Civil War and it's horrible casualties said, "in the end, we are all just about as happy as we CHOOSE to be." Get OUT of yourself. Find someone to help. Let it go and just get into the flow of being a human being among other human beings who are all suffering the same fears and anxieties as you. As hard as life is in America in the 21st century it is STILL the best time in the best place to try and find happiness in the history of the friggin' world!!!

Find out what you do suppress or depress? Perhaps you suppress an impulse or intuition coming from your soul. Perhaps you are scared to face it? Allow yourself to feel what you suppress. (If you need find the help of a good counselor.)
Can it also be that you feel that your life is without meaning? Then it might also be you suppress this what wants to be fulfillled from you. Find a calm place and allow what you carry as love in you to come to the open. Perhaps you want to fulfil a task, perhaps something is waiting for you you need to do now.

Good luck and hope you feel good soon. Flower Remedies can help you too by the way.

Depression is like a weight seperating you (me) from the rest of the world.

Try some meditation, contemplation of nature. Just relax and breathe and watch what is around you.

I do, and stil I find depression grabbing me. But It DOES work and I feel better after a good session of meditaion.

Be happy. Sing a song...

Left foot brake, right foot gas. That's how a car works. Oh, and also a steering wheel. Be good, drive careful and check out the sights passing by. Do something to not obsess. and in fact doing anything will probably help. Moot or do something.

try walking in the morning or carry your pet for a walk, have breakfast do some meditation or listen to some soft music that maybe you could sit up right and meditate. believe me thats wat make me smile even when i am depress. you have to let go and let god. there is nothing that god cant do..you have to detach yourself from lust, anger, greed, envy, hate, and the most important one is ego even though you may not be acqainted with these you cant edge god out -ego.....try loving a child or a pet or someone and you will see the diifference.
