No. Boys in my school do that sometimes on random days. I think they should do it everyday because they look so much better all dressed up.

One of my boys was asked to coach his high school's intramural basketball squad (freshman played juniors, sophomores played seniors -- the winners played each other and that winner played the faculty).
Every game day he wore a white shirt, sharp neck tie, dress slacks and dress shoes. He kept saying he paid better attention in classes and felt he studied harder by just dressing up. He also said the girls paid a lot more attention to him as a sharp dressed guy.
His team won the whole series and he hung up his tie and dress clothes, but he did notice a difference!
I'm guessing the guy you wrote about is planning his life way beyond high school.
I'd bet money at your 20 year class reunion this guy will excel in the field that he chooses.

yah, a lettle ⥠maybe he shud wear soem nice black sneakers, an wear a band t shirt underith the jacket, an put the sleeves up, so it cen be a suite, but less formal. an maybe a man purse instead of a breifcase

well I'm going to be attending a private school,
and we have to go to church and we have to wear,
dresses, and the guys a nice shirt and tie.
So no, it's not weird. Also the football players,
have to wear a nice shirt and tie on Friday before the game.
then after the game they have to wear it too.

That would be Hyrum, he wears that everyday and carries a briefcase instead of a backpack. He's in debate, got him a bit crazy.

I once went to class in a suit because my class fell right between a wake and a funeral.
