I haven't read any of these, but if I had to choose one myself I'd probably go with "Revenge of the Whale: The true story of the WhaleShip Essex." Melville's "Moby Dick" is supposed to be based on what happened to the Essex and her crew.

The Lightning Thief!
It is actually a really interesting book. Its not the kind of book that people read only because they have to. Also it is a young adult book and a pretty easy read. Not too long and not too confusing.

Aurther's Halloween- Marc Brown OR Green Eggs and Ham- Dr. Seuss. You cant go wrong with those.

I hate book lists---they are so limiting. As soon as you can, read "The Stand" by Stephen King!!!

i think you should read the lightning thief,it's really interesting and it's about greek gods living in america!!VERY INTERESTING!!!
