When I started boating... a couple of moons ago... I went back and forth between a yacht and a cigarette boat. Many times both were broken and had a designated captain and 1st mate. One day I was pretty bummed about the ordeal and the captain told me, "If it's a boat, it's broken."
Regardless what kind of boat you get... new or fixer-upper, it will break. Consider yourself warned.... if you have that much extra money, either spend it on the boat or do something more purposeful... like take a coastal vacation and buy a really good digital camera... I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but boats are always breaking...

TLC= tender loving care
Better be sure its not major. It could mean the seats covers are all rotted off and the there is no transom left to mount a motor. Check it out with someone who knows boats.
Hubby says it means "Don't buy it. Someone is trying to pawn their crap off onto you."

two denotations:
tender love (an) care
time (an) lots (of) cash
Basically means it's gonna need some work done to it, either body, mechanically, etc
