Our daughter (13) was in the washroom as I was getting out of the tub earlier & told me that I was a lot more open about nudity than her friend's mothers.
I thought I was more of the norm?

The just getting out of the shower nudity is fine but I don't prance around the house naked singing show tunes...my wife put an end to that.

A more high end fitness center has family areas for that sort of thing.and even then moms will bring smaller kids. boys in the women's. When I was little we just had the park distrct and when mom was busy I went with my older brother or male cousin. We had to go walk through the shower to enter the pool area so I saw everything and I don't think anyone objected, but that was a different time. Some who might have felt weird with a girl there just turned and faced the other way.

I think you should be open and comfortable until your child feels uncomfortable. My mom was always very open, I never became uncomfortable with that, and I am open with my kids. However there came a point when my brother was uncomfortable in early adolescence. I expect about the same from my kids as I also have a boy and girl. Although I plan to take it how it comes. As long as your kids are ok with it, there is no reason to hide yourself or you may give off a negative self image. Openness any any similar sense will also help in future conversations about birds and bees and keep the lines of communication open and honest.

I think it is reasonable thing with the understanding there is always modesty foremost but heck, my mom and sister over 30 would change clothes and such and they weren't weired.

I have always been open with my girls, they have the same equipment that I have. We have an all female household, except for our dog, so it is very relaxed around here.

13 I beleive is a little old....I feel kinda weird with my 6 month old when I'm getting out of the shower. I put her in the bathroom w/ me in the walker cuz she loves watching herself in the mirror.

not really. my son is 11 and if he accidently walks in on me in the bathroom he's like ...ewwww
