think that if you swallowed a watermelon seed, a plant would grow inside of you? (Because you liked watermelon so much)

Lol, that is so funny, I sure did. I believed that an swallowing bubble gum would make my insides stick together as well. That's why I never done it. But watermelon was always my favorite. I couldn't break away from that one.

I was so naive as a kid, I sure did believe my mom when she said that if I swallowed a watermelon seed a watermelon plant would grow inside of me. I loved and still love watermelons; guess what? I have never and will never eat a watermelon seed ever since mom told me that. I just comb that watermelon very close that I do not eat a seed. I know better now but I still make sure I don't eat a seed. =)

No I never thought anything like that would happen.
I didn't eat much watermelon then or now, but I have swallowed a lot of sunflower seeds and I have never had any signs of big yellow flowers growing out of me. Although, I grew up in Kansas so I saw a lot of sunflowers!
I did think one time I might go down the bath drain, but only the water did and I never was concerned about that again.

yes!! coz my mom told me so.. not only watermelon, but also oranges and any other fruits with seeds.. at the time, i trust my mom more than anything else in this world.. later if we came across a man with big stomach, my mom will say, that's what happen when you swallow a watermelon seed.. the watermelon grow inside your stomach and your stomach will looks like that, like balloon.. and i became scared to death.. haha..

That happened to me last week. Now, I've got 2 watermelon growing out of my left ear.

I watched 'The Rug Rats' and that had this whole episode
about Chucky worrying about a watermelon seed.

No, but I remember being told by a friend of my parents, from Brazil, that since I swallowed my bubble gum that a gum tree would grow...I worried for what seemed like a week until my dad saw me crying and explained she was only joking.

No, but I did believe until I was 15 that if I ate an apple seed it would kill me. My parents told me it would when I was a kid. I guess they told me so I wouldn't eat the seeds out of it. I still have a fear of apples even though I now know it won't hurt me.
