That is stupid. I don't know any man that thinks a woman should be barefoot in the kitchen or anywhere else for that matter. A woman is entitled to wear what she wants and no man can change that. If I want to be barefoot I will be. The only thing I can think of is men think it is cute if a woman is walking around barefoot and pregnant because it symbolizes being a redneck. I don't understand it, I wear what I want/

Why do people like You think that Men actually do think like that? Show Us Your statistics, research data and a comprehensive profile of Your 'sources', then perhaps We will give Your question some merit. The 'Dark Ages' are well and truly over, and equality is the watch word of today's thinking Man. Ask questions, and get answers rather than just throwing numbers around the ether. Can You do that? Until then, stop promoting misandric propaganda, and work the answer out for Yourself.
(I wonder how many 'anti-Male' comments Your question will receive?)

Actually, its barefoot and pregnant. These days its more barefoot than pregnant. It means Some men prefer the woman to stay home and he goes out to work. In other words a traditional marriage.

Because they go out and work in the fields...-.-

Shouldn't all people be barefoot or wearing socks in the kitchen? Or any part of the house for that matter?

My man doesn't...he kows better..., but he DOES appreciate it when I do things for him...like cooking or keeping the house clean. He helps me with things, too. He always takes care of the outside work.....mowing, trash, tree-trimming, barn work, ...and I appreciate him for those things.

Because half of the men think that women are dumb and clumsy that they'll slip when they're not barefooted.

Cause the other half is too busy completing their "honey-do" errands.

I don't! Because what if she doesn't take a shower before our fun night starts it wouldn't be nice to see the bottom of her feet dirty, that would be a turn off.

I don't know, but why can't we at least wear socks?!?

Edit: I guess some people don't have a sense of humor. It was supposed to be funny!
