That happened to me and my friend at the Mall Of America about a year ago. Since I was 14 then, and you can't be 14 and without an adult after 4:00 PM at that mall, we had to be taken down to a stupid security room and had to watch the movie I Am Sam with some lame security lady while she tried to make some small talk with us, and we had to wait about an hour for my mom to get us, because she had her cell off, so we couldn't contact her.

We weren't stealing, littering, causing a racket, vandalizing... were were just walking out of a store.

I haven't heard of that actually happening but last year they had my school write a persuasive essay on why or why not teenagers should be allowed to stay in malls without an adult past 6. I guess they asked more schools and made a decision based on the reasons with which they were provided.

For some malls, it's because they have a problem with large groups of kids just hanging out but not spending much money. If the kids are loud and rude, it annoys paying customers enough to keep them away. I don't think it's personal -- just a business decision. They get complaints. Is it fair to the kids who aren't causing trouble? Of course not. Sorry to hear you're having to deal with that.

I never been kicked out of a mall before but i think to your question is that probably while their closing down they can't see what your doing and they think you'll steal their stuff

Their kicking you out because they want to go home to their own lives and not look after you. They do have lives that don't revolve around you.

Maybe they are hoping that at least a few of you might go home and actually crack that Algebra book for a change. Then maybe America will grow fewer morons.
