Yes, definitely. My son did a paper comparing Italy to U.S. schools; the Italians said that, although Americans have a higher percentage of college graduates, it is meaningless, because the quality of education here is so low.
Let's face it: public schools are geared for the slowest, the dumbest kids attending school.
Read all of those books, "Why Johnny Can't Read", "Why Johnny Still Can't Read", the "Dumbing Down of American", the "Closing of the American Mind", et al.
My Dad completed only the 8th grade; he had math that I never had, and I have a Master's degree!
In the 1800's, high school graduates had to discourse in Latin and Greek.
Public school failure is a fact.
What are we going to do about it?

Well, I am 15, and I think no...they are not.. It really annoys me when people spell like that, it does not take much more energy to type out the words. Sometimes I can not even read what people are saying because of it.
