I think Beckham is the best kicker in entire football history. why people said beckham is overrated?? how can people call the best kicker in entire football history overrated? I think in football, cross is most difficult thing because Ive seen many football players good at dribble, shooting, passing but crossing.percentage of success of beckham's crossing is like percentage of success of xavi's short pass. beckham kicks long pass like short pass isn't it unbelievable??? you don't even need dribble many short pass. It's like after beckham kick once It's goal. His cross is super accurate and success percentage is like 85 percent. even football players good at crossing(like figo, veron) other than beckham has poor percentage of success of crossing(I think 30percent). and regula football players have I think 7 percent of success of cross(watch copa america. cross is really poor as oppose to short pass). beckham is the only one football player in this planet who is good at crossing!!!

cuz thats the only thing that he has. he cant do anything else but cross the ball and alot of teams want more than just a good cross.

not sure where all this beckham hatred has come from, for about 6 years he could do no wrong, and rarely did anything wrong. He was a very good player and always gave 110% if every england player was like that we'd have won a lot more trophies than we have. People were complaining during the world cup that he can't run past people or dribble the ball, but seemed to forget that he is one of the best crossers of the ball in the world, he can pick out a player from about 100 yards away. So it's time we stopped critisizing him so much and remember how many inspirational performances he put in for England

I don't think he's over-rated. He has contributed a great deal to Real Madrid's La Liga championship and to England's last couple of matches this year. He is hard-working. He gives his best to every team he plays with. He has a great skill in setting up goals for other players. He is a great combination of a special skill, hard work, handsome face and great body, being a part of 2 big clubs in England and Spain, being married to a formerly popular pop star, great endorser of products, being an idol to children and women all over the world. Some players may have some of these, but not all. That's what makes him more popular than other players.

Because there is more to soccer/football than accurate kicks. You need to be able to dribble it well and have some good moves to get around defenders. He may have accurate kicks but isn't the best all around player.

I tend to disagree with you over his abilities, however i believe like you that he's a far better player than he's given credit for, his work rate is generally second to none, he's good but I've seen more skillful players but all round I'd rather have him playing for my side than anyone else at the moment.

If you agree with my view that players should be rated for their best form and best games (given that they do hit good form and play very well most of the time), Beckam certainly is among the best, very best! he is not over-rated!

his not the best at free kicks, his not the best player either but he is defineatly not overated! he brings so much to the england team.

people make him out to be some footie God or something, I consider Figo 100x better then Beckham and yet Beckham is still a bigger name.
