anyone ever won any prizes from radio station before? how did you win and what was the prize?

I called ESPN radio station out of L.A. one time and was the 16th caller, won Disneyland Family package!

I've won several things from different local stations. Everything from concert tickets [Prince,Skynyrd, Garth Brooks...] to tanning visits to money. I've been the designated caller several times and other wins have been trivia questions. Once I was pulled over by the stations van because I had their bumper sticker on my car and I won $107

I won a set of stereo headphones and just after they announced my name, they stopped everything to announce Elvis had died. Every time I look at those headphones it reminds me of that sad day. I also won a Rod Stewart C.D. I only ever entered 2 radio competitions and won each time. Was thrilled and I don't know why I didn't enter any more, I must start doing it again! Sometimes prizes do not exist at all, they are just used to promote the product. Sometimes a show at a theatre hasn't sold many tickets for some reason, even tho it may be a famous singer, so they will say they have two tickets to give away and really they have 300, so keep ringing till they tell you the competition is over. If you ring 3 hours after they announce the competition is on, they will say to you that the phones were jammed and you are the first to get through to get the 2 tickets, but really, if your friend rings an hour after that, he can get tickets too. If it is a really big prize, like a holiday, car, or TRIP TO DISNEYLAND and you are going to be pictured in the papers receiving your gift, then, after they draw your name but before they tell you, they will get a detective to follow you around to make sure you will be a worthy prizewinner. Cos they don't want any scandalrag saying DRUG DEALER WINS CAR. So Eastern Witch - you must be a really wholesome person.

I had a radio station call me once and ask if I was 21 but I was only 20 at the time so I didn't win the prize. I don't even know what the prize was for because I don't listen to LITE music.

I have won a Baja Fresh Burrito party pack thing...and man was it tastey! and some concert tickets. the baja fresh thing I won by going to the station's website (I forgot which one) and the concert tickets by just being at the right place at the right time! =)
