As much as he abused me emotionally and a couple of times physically, I wouldn't take the time back because we did have a beautiful son from our relationship. He also taught me how to become emotionally strong, and how strong I really was. I also don't think I would be where I am today....which is happily married to an absolutely wonderful understanding man....if I hadn't gone through what I did with my ex-husband.
As miserable as it was, and, God rest his soul, he was a waste of a human being, I think I had to go through it to be what I am today and where I am today.

Making mistakes is God's way of teaching you a lesson. Hurting is part of life. Pain will always be there, but you can choose to be miserable.

Well, I got a really nice son out of the deal. So not all of it. Certain parts I could have done without. But then that is true of anyone.

No, because that time made me who I am today, and I think it's important for everyone to get hurt at least once in a relationship (emotionally, not physically), because it makes us stronger in the end and more appreciative for what we have.

My philosophy in life is "no regrets"...I wouldn't be who I am today, I wouldn't have learned what I've learned, and I would have missed out on some pretty good things.
