hi,
i was wonder, if the lighter aluminum radiator with plastic cover a better radiator than a heavier a metal radiator? i was curious because a radiator sale owner says my old radiator metal..is not better than the aluminum one? so she is willing to talk mine and sell the alumium with retail price $145 for $100 and also keep my metal rediator? which one is the better one?
any suggestion would help a lot..thankx.

well i dont know a whole bunch about radiators but aluminum cools faster, is lighter and is corrosion resistant. if you can get it for the same price or nearly close buy it. the radiator is used to cool the anitfreeze to cool your engine block.

well, shop around. I can tell you that the price of salvage metal is probably at an all time hi. so you should expect to get more out of your radiator. You might even be able to sell your radiator for more money then what she is giving you for it. Either way, I have no idea about your radiator although I thought copper was a better conductor of heat than aluminum, if I am correct then she's blowing some hot air.

Why are you shopping? is yours bad?

I would go with the metal one if it were me. You can't repair the plastic one.
