Why?
my ex boyfriend cant tell me nothing, because i dislike him so much. He's messy and jealous.

None of my ex's can tell me anything, because they've already told me everything and all it did was make things worse. Besides, I refuse to listen to someone whose motives I know to be self-centered.
My mom "can't tell me nothing" either because my life is perfect compared to how hers has been. What do I have to learn from a bad example?
