Parvo is a canine infection that is only tranferable from dog to dog. I've never heard of cats getting it and I've worked at vets and the SPCA. However, any dog that goes into the yard that that puppy was in can come down with it for years to come. It's very hard to kill. He can spray the yard with bleach water, But thats no gaurantee. Most dogs that get it are puppies and older dogs.

cats dont get parvo. If the kitten was in contact with the puppy she could carry the germs on her paws or in her coat and transfer it to another puppy that way. But she wont get sick from it.

YES, parvo is extremely contagious and deadly and costly to treat. Vaccinate all other animals and bleach every thing.

HIGHLY contagious!!!
You need to thoroughly clean the areas in which the pet was including toys, bowls with bleach.
DO NOT get another pet for at least 7 months.
Very deadly.
