What's your opinion on Myspace?

I'm sorry, I just don't see the big deal with it. This lazy person at work spends all her time farting around on Myspace instead of actually working, and that is annoying. I will admit I go to myspace sites some, always band sites, but I still prefer the old-fashioned personal website of old, especially for the bands. I just don't see what the bid deal is! Anyone else with me? And again, not knocking anyone that loves myspace, I just don't get the hype.

There are millions of reasons I detest Myspace, I'll try putting some -

Myspace is basically a license to stalk anyone and everyone who has access to this website. It is filled with thousands, god forbid, maybe millions of Internet predators. This is where 15 year old girls go to pretend they're 19 only to end up getting raped by 40 year old men who go there to pretend they're 17. We live in a sad world.

I also despise the utterly repulsive photos taken at extreme angles on the bathroom mirror. Those kids don't concur that overusing eyeliner and mop-anime hairstyles does not automatically make them look cute or artsy. Besides the fact that Myspace celebrates a mass collection of "emo"/"scene" kids, the disgusting site is primarily used for insecure girls to post pictures of their half naked bodies to get attention.

“A place for friends," - what a deceiving statement, and how monstrous the "Top Friends" feature is. These initiate statements like “Why am I not on your top list?" People actually talk about highly irrelevant, life-wasting things like these in REAL LIFE. It becomes a competition of seeing who has the most friends. There is something inherently sad about that. The unfortunate thing is that the majority of these "friends" use Myspace to propagate their drama.

There are schmucks that also post the most retarded bulletins about doing something ridiculous and re-posting on the penalty of having bad luck for the rest of your life, or getting killed at a certain time period in a few days, and other such nonsense.

Now, evidently, spending 24/7 on Myspace is a waste of a valuable time. I always say this to such people who do, in a sarcastic manner, " If you think you can contribute that much to your pointless life, do something productive, like getting hit by a bus. "

My opinion of MySpace is mostly bad. It just seems like a place for young girls to pose looking ultra-provocative and have people tell them how cute they are. If not that then they're just busy blasting each other with biting comments and rudeness. It seems like High School all over again! *LOL* I don't spend my time MySpacing...but then again I guess they say don't knock it 'til you've tried it, right?

Well it depends on how you look at it. Everyone has there own opinion but for me myspace is kind of fun. You get 2 meet all sorts of friends. People you dont see ever since you changed school can chat with you for entertainment. Just go along with having a myspace its not all that boring if you are a teenager or kid.

I am addicted to myspace.
cause, i have nothing to do this summer && myspace is the only thing except this to amuse me.
The only reason i go on myspace is to talk to my people.
&& to decorate it. Cause, i know how to do all these cool codes && junk. I know nerdy. But, yes I just talk to family && friends on there. I also, own a photography site on myspace.
So, sometimes myspace opens up a comminuty && makes people famous like with music or videos or photography && graphic design. Example Cassie the girl that made the song me&u got, signed because, diddy spotted her on myspace.
So, some people do it to get attention && get there name out there its a good way to do it to.

I dislike myspace, people get get too addicted to it doing nothing. To be honest I do have a myspace but I don't go on for hours & hours... I use myspace to listen to new music & communicate with my friends & family from far away.
Others just add people they don't know to get new "friends" and send "hate mail" or a become a "myspace stalker".
It's just a website!!! People need to live out there lives!

I TOTALLY agree with you. I mean, sure it has great music and all, but is it really worth it? I think it's a complete waste of time. It takes forEVER to load one page. And there's really nothing to do on it, I've noticed that. I deleted my myspace a few days ago, cuz I found myself never using it.
Facebook on the other hand, is WAY better. Not only is there lots to do, but it doesn't take a long time to load one page and it's just.... a better way to connect with people.

I don't see what's so great about Myspace either. After fixing friends computers that went on Myspace all day, and only left with add's and viruses. I'll pass.

yea i totally understand you..... myspace is like a drug to some people... once you get started you can give it up... i have a friend who stays on myspace 24/7 literally... i mean what kind of life is that! it may seem fun for a while but after a while it seems like it would get kind of boring!!!
